Andrew Meyer is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive and defensive tackle at San Marcos High School, where he played for head coach Jason Texler. Meyer earned three varsity letters playing football.
The hard-working lineman who started 36 straight varsity football games is a two-time All-Avocado League pick, including a spot on the first-team offense in 2017. He also was selected to the All-CIF San Diego Section Second-Team Offense and was named to KUSI Shack’s Pig Pen his senior year.
Off the field, Meyer maintained a 3.83 GPA. He was named to the Honor Roll all four years and was selected to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team two years in a row. Meyer did this while working a part-time job and volunteering as a basketball coach for his little brother’s team. He also has volunteered at his grandmother’s nursing home. In addition, Meyer has been part of the Varsity Club for four years and is currently the vice president.
He will attend the United States Air Force Academy. In Meyer’s free time, he enjoys working out, playing video games and hanging out with family and friends. Andrew is the son of Jeffrey and Renae Meyer.
