Kekoa Willkomm is 5-foot-10, 200-pound strong safety, linebacker and running back for Mt. Carmel High School, where he competed for coach John Anderson. Willkomm, a three-year varsity starter, earned three letters playing football.
The Sundevils’ leading tackler in 2017, Willkomm was named to the All-Palomar League First-Team Defense and was the Spanos All-Star Classic MVP. He overcame an ACL injury during his junior season to earn Honorable Mention praises in the Palomar League.
In the classroom, Willkomm maintained a 4.0 GPA while making the Honor Roll all four years. Last year he was given the Student Athlete and Sundevil Standout awards. Willkomm is an active member in the community, volunteering at the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter and as a flag football coach for NFL Flag San Diego.
He currently has scholarship offers from William Jewell College, Kentucky State University, New Mexico Highlands University and Trinity International University. Willkomm aspires to become a physical therapist. In his free time, he enjoys playing rugby and going to the gym. Kekoa is the son of Loreta and Jeff Willkomm.
