Justin Lopez

Justin Lopez is a 5-foot-7, 168-pound half-back and middle linebacker for Borrego Springs High School, where he played for coach Tim White. Lopez earned four varsity letters playing football, three in basketball and one in baseball.

The two-way player capped an outstanding prep career by earning the MVP Award for the Rams in 2017. Lopez was also honored with a spot on the All-Citrus League First-Team Offense. That follows up a junior campaign in which he was named to the All-Citrus League Second-Team Defense.

Off the field, Lopez maintained a 4.10 GPA and was named to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team.He earned the school district’s Senator’s Award and Principal Award in 2016. Lopez has been involved with several clubs, including the Interact Club where students help raise funds for community needs. He is currently the Associated Student Body President at his school.

Lopez is undecided on which college to attend, but aspires to major in business management/construction management. In his free time, he enjoys creating music, working out, frisbee and volunteer work. Justin is the son of Hugo and Erika Lopez.
